Whoa...what? So those of us who played the first time around by doing the "like" thing on FB were dupes?

Seriously CCP...seriously? Is this how you run things? It's a small thing maybe, but it's about integrity.

soooo, you'd rather ccp run no contests at all, just because your country say's you cant' win a contest hosted in another country? oookay...

Honestly, I have no idea what you're talking about.
The issue is that CCP already ran this contest through FB, but now they're forgetting that one even happened and starting a new one? That's inane.
Unless they already gave the first computer out and I missed the memo?

Originally by: Primae Redeemer so i just priced out the machine in the OP...it comes in WELL under 3 grand...i'm sorry CCP, I know a free PC is a free PC, but this machine isnt even CLOSE to the estimated price you're posting.
Total price of all listed items is ~1800 through newegg and tiger direct.
That last line is your problem...this isn't a build-it-yourself PC, it's from a boutique game machine maker. Not sure how you think your little experiment proves anything...it's apples and pineapples.

um im sorry, whats the difference? The price of the parts is what the value should be based on, not what the "boutique" name is worth...
If you don't get it, nothing I say will change that. There's a huge difference between building your own car and buying a Porche. Opportunity cost...look it up. That and the fact that some manufacturers just do a stellar job worth paying a premium for.

Originally by: Ravenzfire Facebook terms don't allow "liking" a page to enter into a contest, hence the reason why they have set up a "new" contest. Based on that I think it's safe to assume that the first iteration of the contest (the one that broke the facebook rules) is no longer valid and if you wish to participate this is now the way to do it.
It would have been nice to see CCP actually address that and apologize to all of those who entered the first time. Instead, we get a new contest announced and total silence about the first one. CCP really, really needs to up their ability to communicate to their customers. Does CCP have an official Communications Specialist in employ? If not, they should really think about getting one.
